[Non-issue] LineageOS 18.1 Pixel 3 (blueline) - No SMS notification

I'm running LineageOS 18.1 (nightly 4/20/2022 no GAPPs) on a Pixel 3(blueline) with AT&T I noticed that whenever I get an SMS message, the LED notification light doesn't flash
or indicate a new SMS.

I do see notification on the lock screen but the screen has to be on. I hunted around for an option but haven't found one yet.
Any comments, suggestions advice would be very welcome.
